In July, our team at Crested Butte partnered with the U.S. Forest Service to protect and restore the health of the local forest through pine beetle mitigation work. The crew worked through the Bakery Trees in the East River forest to deploy Verbenone pheromone packets. These packets work by releasing a synthetic pheromone that indicates to pine beetles that the tree is occupied, and the remaining nutrient supply is insufficient for additional beetles. A sneak peek at the top terminal of the Sunrise Gondola! It’s been a busy summer for the team at Park City Mountain as construction continues on the resort’s new 10-passenger gondola. The new gondola will whisk skiers and riders from Pendry Park City and Lift Park City Condominiums up to the Red Pine area, with the goal of improving overall flow and circulation in the Canyons Village base area. ?? Every year, the EpicPromise Employee Foundation awards education grants to the dependents of Vail Resorts employees. In 2025, the Foundation awarded over $100,000 through 41 multi-year grants, helping students to cover annual expenses for undergraduate programs. This Colorado River Day, we’re taking a moment to celebrate the start of our second year of our partnership with The Nature Conservancy in Colorado (TNC) in support of their work to restore the Colorado River Basin. The Colorado River starts as snowmelt north of Grand Lake, Colorado, and flows more than 1,400 miles. The flow of this critical resource, which provides water for 40 million people, has declined nearly 20% since 2000, with half of this decline attributed to temperature increases resulting from climate change. With support from Vail Resorts, TNC will focus on balancing water needs, upgrading traditional and natural water infrastructure, and working with local Tribal Nations to create a more sustainable Colorado River Basin. Plastic Free July is here! Since Vail Mountain launched Soft Plastics Recycling in 2018, they’ve collected and recycled over 30,000 lbs. of soft plastics materials from our retail and warehouse operations. The program has been so successful here in Colorado that it has grown to Tahoe, with hopes of further expansion across our network. Last month, our Wilmot team partnered with The Sharing Center and Growing in Grace for a special community giveback day. Team members spent the day picking fruit, weeding fields, and preparing fresh produce to be delivered directly to local families in need. Volunteering is core to our EpicPromise, our commitment to supporting the communities where we live, work, and play. “Fresh fruit is something many of us might take for granted,” said Donna Shipman, Wilmot’s Rental/Retail Manager. “It was an honor to know we were giving back and helping ensure our neighbors had access to something so simple, yet so meaningful.”

Meet Chris Lang, Head Chef at Van Winkles located in the Kaatskill Mountain Club. A passionate local who's been cooking it up at Hunter Mountain for 14 years, Chris brings serious flavor to everything from delicious burgers to post-ski pizza slices. "My brother and I grew up in the restaurant scene. Seeing the flames and the food flying out of the kitchen lit a spark in me. Cooking lets you be creative, and I've been lucky to turn that passion into a career. Now I get to run a kitchen and help design the menu, which is honestly the best part.
